Ellen had been stalking Jill long before we were actually acquainted. Her bowls are so joyous and colorful, like a fully articulated mood painted on clay. So it’s no wonder that we loved her from the minute we met her in person. We like to think of her as our long-lost sister, which isn’t so far-fetched given that we grew up just a couple of miles away in NYC. What we’ve come to understand is that her work truly does embody her spirit: bright, bubbly, and infectiously jubilant. To own a piece of her pottery is to bask in the glory of a sparkly rainbow that never runs out of light.
